Location

Duloe is a small village situated about 4 miles from the port of Looe. Duloe itself is means 'two lakes' this is as Duloe is centred by the two Looe Rivers. The village is perhaps best known for it's stone circle, which was discovered in 1801 in a field opposite the parish church. The Duloe Stone Circle is the smallest in Cornwall, with a diameter of less than twelve meters, although the stones themselves are surprisingly large, the biggest reaching eight feet. The stone circle, which was restored in the nineteenth century, dates back to around 2000 BC. Another ancient attraction is the holy well dedicated to St Cuby, or Cybi. Cuby was a 6th-century Cornish saint, and by tradition was the son of a King of Cornwall. Cuby was raised as a Christian and at an early age went on a pilgrimage to Rome and Jerusalem. Duloe is conveniently located in its own pocket, a quaint, private village. With easy access to the harbour town of Looe and the market town of Liskeard.
